The result for CAT 2021 will be declared (tentatively) at 05:00 PM on January 5, 2022, by IIM Ahmedabad, the conducting body for the year. Candidates will access their respective scorecards on the official CAT 2021 website, i.e., iimcat.ac.in. They are required to input their credentials like CAT 2021 user ID and password to check their results. The scorecard will also carry details such as the candidate’s name, registration ID, category, sectional score, overall score, sectional percentile, and overall percentile. The result will be accessible only through the online mode.

CAT 2021 result is valid till December 31, 2022, after its declaration. Once the supervising body announces the result, respective IIMs will begin the process of shortlisting based on individual CAT cut-offs to declare a list of candidates eligible for the WAT-PI round.

CAT 2021 exam is to be held on November 28 in three slots to accommodate over 2.31 lakh aspirants. IIM Ahmedabad will be conducting the exam at 400 test centres in 159 cities across the country. This year also marks the participation of the highest number of test cities for any MBA entrance exam in India.

CAT 2021 Result Highlights

Below are some of the key points to note for candidates appearing for CAT 2021:

  • The final CAT 2021 result will be declared online and available on the official website – iimcat.ac.in.
  • The candidates should expect an SMS by the IIMs on their registered mobile number on the date of CAT 2021 informing them that ‘CAT Score Card is live’.
  • The scorecard window is expected to go live at 9:00 AM on the day of the result.
  • Results will be announced for all the candidates, regardless of their slot timings.
  • The candidates should note that the CAT 2021 scorecard will carry their scaled scores as well as percentiles. There will be no raw scores on the card.
  • The scaled marks of section-1 (verbal ability and reading comprehension), Section-2 (data interpretation and logical reasoning), and Section-3 (quantitative ability) are not additive. The final scorecard or the overall scaled scores is calculated based on the total raw scores obtained by the respective candidate.
